Vultures hover over their prey, ready for the last dying breath of an animal in the wilderness. How many people do you see circling around elders, hoping their names appear in a will to inherit wealth? How many try to stake a claim in long-standing businesses built by the hard work of others, eager to gain assets without contributing to the legacy? To me, this is akin to a conqueror marking their territory, seeking dominion over someone else’s life’s work.
Looking back on my journey, there have been plenty of times I’ve felt stuck, overwhelmed, and unable to see a way out—kind of like being trapped in quicksand. It’s easy to panic in those moments.
Throughout my many years of living a fast-paced, juggling-balancing life, I discovered that one of the things that brought me a sense of serenity was finding a creative outlet: exploring new places and capturing beautiful moments. I looked forward to finding that sunset, the sunrise, or donkeys rolling in the sand, the sunlight shimmering in a puddle of water, or really anything. I simply found pure joy in capturing all sorts of things. It gave me a chance to stop, pause, and truly appreciate the natural beauty of life—something I often overlooked amid many other distractions.
For me, when I think of sovereignty, I have this immediate sense of being empowered within myself in all areas of my life. As all areas are deeply intertwined and connected and therefore influence each other, it stands to reason that when I implement uplevelling changes in one area, then all are positively affected as a result. .
When so much is happening and the world’s pull of untimely situations takes us to a place of utter depletion and we feel like we are not flying high with inspiration and drive… that is okay.
I’ve noticed a behaviour, labelled as spiritual bypassing, that all spirit-led entrepreneurs resort to at times along our journey.
