Experience of life:
Feelings of frustration and overwhelm and a craving for a quick dopamine fix.

In Allison’s response post “Quantum Confetti” she refers to the need for a quick dopamine fix.  I checked my emails, (yes, we still need to look at them, just not 74 times a day!) and in dropped a newsletter from Hedi Shah which addressed the same topic we have been discussing.  It was so timely that I felt I wanted to share with you all too.

Here’s a short excerpt, from “Is it overwhelm or Lazy Brain?”

“Every time something felt slightly more challenging or required me to stay focused longer than a quick notification, my brain tapped out. I was hooked on fast dopamine.

And I know this isn’t news. Everyone talks about how distracted and overstimulated we all are. But when I started naming it differently, when I started seeing it as lazy brain symptoms, everything shifted for me.”
