In response to Louise’s post “Redefining Failure”
Louise stated that failure isn’t about not succeeding. It’s not about the plans that didn’t pan out, the unexpected detours, or even the outright setbacks. For me, failure it is finding out for yourself that you have not been your best at whatever you have applied yourself!
Within the chaotic world we are living in today, many a plan in wanting to realize a specific outcome by a specified time, and within a specific format, may not have realized as expected. Even if we have done our best to do everything right, given the changing circumstances in today’s world that could not even have been anticipated and in conjunction with the residual karma we are dealing with, is it fair that we now must accept that we have failed as such?
I do not think so.
What does matter with regards to failure is: can you honestly say to yourself that, whatever happened, I have acted according to the best of my knowing and my ability within the circumstances I projected myself into! If so – you have not failed, but having enriched yourself with a learning experience regarding being the best you can be for the future.
Alternatively, if you have not been at your best, this by itself is also a learning experience regarding not being in integrity with who you are meant to be.
Furthermore, what is most important then, is to acknowledge, let go of and decide upon of who you are truly going to be in the future, in dealing with such situations at hand – being the best you can be in realizing the fulness of who you truly are.
