Curiosity and laughter, the ultimate power combo for life and business?
I loved the way both Sibylle in her post, “Why Curiosity Matters in Business” and Allison’s response both talk about childlike curiosity, one that sees magic in the mundane, that plays with possibility instead of stressing over certainty and when we pair it with laughter, we unlock something amazing.
Fun isn’t frivolous.
Laughter isn’t a distraction.
According to the science of gelotology (yes, that’s a real thing, the study of laughter), laughter triggers a cascade of physical and psychological benefits. It boosts oxygen, stimulates your heart and lungs, releases endorphins, reduces stress, and even enhances immune function. It’s literally good for your body and your business.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Laughter lights up the brain, both hemispheres. It activates the limbic system, encourages flexibility in thinking, and helps us solve problems more creatively. So when we’re giggling over a silly idea or chasing a unicorn through the back garden of our mind, we’re actually rewiring our brains for innovation and resilience.
So let’s invite in the curiosity and the comedy.
Let’s bring back the daydreams, the playfulness, the deep belly laughs that ripple through a room and loosen the grip of stress.
Let’s be leaders, creators, and dreamers who aren’t afraid to crack a smile or chase a fairy or two.
Business is better when it’s fun.
Life is better when it’s light.
And who knows? That next big idea might just come to you mid-giggle.
So…are you in?
Let’s create, explore, and laugh our way through this. It’s way more fun with curious, joy-filled company.

Gelotology…that made me giggle and laugh as I got tongue-tied trying to say it out loud the first time 🙂
Yes, laughter is a key ingredient to life, love, business, and everything in between. We take ourselves far too seriously for the most part, methinks!
