Water flows, do you?

Experience of life:
Feeling unfulfilled, longing for more meaningful work, and experiencing frustration with life.

Water does not resist. Water flows.
When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress.
Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you.
But water always goes where it wants to go,
and nothing in the end can stand against it.
Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone.
Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water.
If you can’t go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.

Remember, progress is progress, no matter how slow.

As long as we keep moving forward, we’re advancing. It’s easy to feel frustrated in the day-to-day grind, especially when we lose sight of how far we’ve come. But often, you’ve achieved more than you realise. Being so immersed in a project makes it hard to remember where it all began.

For some, journaling can be a powerful tool to track growth, while others might prefer visual records. A friend gifted me a ‘One Line a Day’ 5-year memory book, and even jotting down just one line each day has helped me see the bigger picture over time.

Find your own method of tracking progress, so that in moments of frustration, you can look back and see just how far you’ve come.

Curious to know your archetype and how I can support you?

Do you think someone else would find this useful?

Do you feel called to support my work?

Cool points Louise, I think a lot of times we avoid journalling for fear of reminding ourselves of what we “haven’t done”, instead of keeping track of just how far we have come- most times we will be amazed at the progress.

You are right Ian, we always focus on the not done, I know I do!
