Abundance – I define it here as a state of overflow, where there is more than enough for everyone. Yet, how often do we find ourselves navigating the gap between lack and abundance? Is our current sense of “not enough” shaped by unconscious fears and scarcity-driven decisions?
So how does one bridge the gap between lack to flow and the journey from point A to point B? Could Buddha be giving us a hint on how to do this?
A teaching attributed to Buddha states,
“To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as one’s own in the midst of abundance.”
What does this statement mean? For me, this statement means that true abundance flows when we recognize that everything, wealth, resources, even relationships are all temporary and interconnected. It will no longer be about what is mine or how I protect my business, my wealth, my ‘my’ and ‘mine,’ but about what benefits all, what is ours, and for all. When we move away from attachments, we open the floodgates to a vast superabundance.
