On the 27 Archetypes site (27archetypes.com), there’s a quiz called Behind the Smile. As I read through the archetypes, I found myself reflecting on the layers within this theme.
The soul behind the smile holds untold stories and quiet strength. What goes on behind the smile of an entrepreneur? What lingers in their minds as they navigate their business, moving from moments of uncertainty to near-thriving, only to face challenges again?
I once asked an entrepreneur, Why do you do what you do, and why do you do it this way?
His answer was simple: To support my family. If it weren’t for them, I’d be doing something else—something rooted in my passion, like science or a field focused on humanity.
This made me wonder:
Could the energy behind a business be the force that makes it thrive?
Could the intention and vibrance behind the work make it feel lighter, brighter, and more aligned—allowing support to flow more effortlessly?
On the other hand, could operating solely from a place of “filling a gap” or meeting a perceived lack unintentionally call in more of that same energy?
And what about the entrepreneur’s smile? Could it grow wider, brighter, and more genuine when the work they do aligns with their passion—not just their obligations?
So, if you’re an entrepreneur smiling for customer service, smiling to stay positive, or smiling through the motions. I leave you with this question.
