When I first saw the question “Why do I do what I do?”, I actually thought to myself, wow, I got this question nailed!
But as I thought about what to write, I felt something stirring deeper inside me. The answer, whilst seemingly simple on the surface, signaled a deeper meaning for me. I do what I do in essence because when I help businesses find more profit or more time, it helps them have a better life which in turn helps their families. But on a deeper level I do what I do because I’ve seen over and over again too many businesses struggling to simply survive. Often unnecessarily and usually because they have been caught up in the grind for so long that they just can’t see any way up or out of the dark, and I see the negative effects that flow out of this.
I have also seen firsthand the amazing effects of businesses evolving and individuals growing. It’s about more than just numbers or success stories; it’s about the human impact we can make as a result. I’ve seen the joy in a business owner’s eyes when they create new jobs, the relief on a family’s faces when they find stability, and the renewed hope in a community when it starts to thrive. I see every coaching session, every family we support, and the ripple effects of them as a step towards a better world.
I do what I do because I believe in the exponential power of combining compassion with growth and purpose. When we help one business or one family, we’re not just changing their lives – we’re planting seeds of transformation that can blossom into far-reaching, positive change. It’s about fostering a world where success and kindness are inseparable, where prosperity flows through communities, and where even the smallest act of goodwill ripples outward, contributing to a brighter, more hopeful future for all of us and for our planet.
This is why I do what I do – because I believe in our collective power to create meaningful, lasting change. But this journey doesn’t end with knowing ‘why’; it only begins there. The more challenging question my inner self posed was, “How do I shed my old limiting beliefs and truly start making it happen?” This is why I am part of the Vibrational Marketing Institute. It’s a remarkable community of caring and compassionate individuals all working towards a brighter tomorrow. Here, I’ve found not just the tools to grow, but a supportive network that amplifies our shared vision for a better world.
This is so beautiful, Ian. An unexpected visionary with a passion for the details and a heart as wide as the world. You are a blessing to the VMI community. Thank you.
